Condolences

Condolence From: Scott Fay
Condolence: I first met Paul in the mid 80's when I started visiting his sports card store. I quickly became a regular customer and spent many a Saturday afternoon at the store hanging out with Paul and a number of other regulars that would be there. Then Paul and I started going to Bison games together at the Rockpile since my company always had free tickets available. When they tore down the stadium I worked a deal with the demolition company to aquire a bunch of chairs from there that I shared with Paul and our friends. We continued going to games once Pilot Field opened, seeing about 20 a season. Eventually I also started helping Paul at the weekend card shows he would set up at. It was rare for a week to go by without us seeing each other at the store or at a game. I moved away from the Buffalo area in the late 90's, but every time I went back to see friends and family I'd pop in unexpectedly at the store and enjoyed catching up with Paul on what had been going on since my last visit. I was shocked when I went to stop at the store a couple years ago and it was gone. We also exchanged Christmas cards with a personal note some years, the last of which was this past Christmas. I still have that note, the last I'll now receive. I was fortunate that one of our store friends remembered me and was able to locate me to let me know the news of Paul's passing, as otherwise I'd have never known. We had a lot of good times and laughs together. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to your family and your friends.
