February 19, 2018 of
Kenmore, NY. Beloved
husband of Jacqueline
“Jackie” (Herrmann)
Armstrong. Dear father
of Lisa (Kevin) Hassett
and the late Gary Jr.
Loving grandfather of Michael and
Megan. Brother of Glenn (Mary), Dale
Armstrong and the late Beverly (late
Chuck) Spaid. Also survived by loving
nieces and nephews. Friends may call
Friday 4-8 at the LESTER H.
WEDEKINDT INC. FUNERAL HOME,
3290 Delaware Ave., where a Funeral
Service will follow at 8:00 pm. Joining
the Kenmore Volunteer Fire department
in 1975, Gary spent the majority of his
life serving the Kenmore Community.
Becoming chief in 1985 as well as
holding other offices throughout his life.
He retired from General Motors after 30
years and currently was employed by
the Kenmore Police Department, a position
he truly loved. Gary was a loving husband,
father, grandfather and brother. He
cherished his fire hall family and was a great
